Engineering Partnership

05/09/2023, Waterloo ON - Real Life Robotics, a company that specializes in cargo and last mile robotics delivery at scale, today announced an exclusive strategic engineering partnership with InDro Robotics, Canada’s leading Robotics R&D firm. Through the partnership, InDro will provide engineering support for Real Life Robotics’ cargo and delivery solutions to address the rapidly growing labor shortage with unique, customizable and affordable last-mile delivery robotic solutions. Today’s announced partnership builds on earlier cooperation between the two companies that began in 2020.

Businesses today are experiencing a massive labour gap across North America. According to Stats Canada, more than 35 per cent of companies say a shortage of labour is expected to be an obstacle in their operations. And with over 40 per cent of companies currently exploring Process Automation (PA), there’s growing demand to optimize existing workforces across the country.

“InDro’s world class team of engineers brings exceptional depth to our product development path as we expand globally,” says Cameron Waite, Founder and CEO of Real Life Robotics.  “We’re excited to expand our partnership and know it will accelerate our ability to deliver robotics solutions to market faster and support our clients with uniquely configured automation solutions.”

InDro, with offices in Vancouver, Victoria and Ottawa, has deep expertise in mechatronics, software integration, teleoperation and automation through machine learning. Today’s agreement adds significant engineering bench strength and manufacturing capacity to Real Life Robotics, allowing the company to rapid scale in a fast-growing market.

“We’re thrilled to support the experienced and well-respected robotics team at Real Life Robotics,” says Philip Reece, CEO of InDro Robotics. “Our expertise in the robot field, mixed with Real Life Robotics’ extensive experience in robotic commercialization, makes for a powerful team.”

“The ground robotic delivery market is still very new,” explains Waite. “We engage with both commercial/industrial and government clients who want to lead the charge in adoption of this exciting technology we’ve created.”

Using a combination of hardware, software, and artificial intelligence, Real Life Robotics’ flagship product, called BUBS™, provides cargo and delivery automation at scale.
